My idea is to take one small, unused object, replicate it, use it as a building block, and create one large object that is entirely new and useful. The spider-holes that Barbie showed us today were partly the inspiration for this idea. Barbie also mentioned that she would like to reuse the hog pen materials so this concept directly relates to that.
The object that I selected was a crate, which I found in the hog pen. The challenge for me right now is what to make out of these crates.
The pictures above show the steps I took to create an abstract, 2d image. The projection of the 2d image onto the sphere is interesting, but I'm not sure how I can tie this in with my concept. Mainly, I was focusing on creating an ambiguous positive/negative relationship for the first 'moment'.

Dang we both picked the same thing! Too bad I cant figure out how to upload mine!
I think playing with the ball idea could be very interesting.
Ben,
I like your spherical projection a lot!!! Now, you could unfold the sphere to make 2D composition and determine evolved geometry. Then, create 2D figure/ground to finish the first moment. Thanks and great job! Ra
